Hi, earlier this evening my Mac asked me if I would like to update my Sims 3 game ( note: I also have the EPs for Island Paradise, and World adventures) so I updated my game and now when I click on the World adventures Icon a window that says "application startup failed" pops up. Is there a way to fix this? Will my game be ruined?? >:'(

Instead of using the World Adventures icon to launch your game, use the one of the base game. Go into Applications, then the folder called 'The Sims 3', then find the base game icon. Launch from there (or drag a copy into the Dock).

If you can get the Launcher to open, take a look at your current patch level. You should be at 1.67 if you are up to date. If not, it would be best to update using the manual superpatch.
