I recently installed my sims 3 games onto a macbook pro (with all expansion and some stuff packs). The launcher opened just fine but after I pressed the play button the picture of the sims 3 popup (like usual) but then closed immediately and nothing happens. I tried renaming the sims 3 file in the founder and goes to open the launcher again to create a new sims 3 folder but that did nothing.

Is the game up to date (1.67) - you can check this by looking at the number in the lower lefthand corner of the launcher? How many expansion packs are installed and is this the first time you have installed The Sims 3 onto this Macbook? How much RAM does the Macbook have?
