now i have it up but it is asking me for the cd. WHAT DO I DO???????
Have you ever previously had the game installed on this computer from a disc? If yes, then there are some leftover files and you need to follow the clean uninstallation process I posted. If you have never had the game installed on this computer before this attempt, then you can still try to cleanly uninstall and then reinstall, but if it keeps asking you for a CD then you will need to contact customer services at EA for help, as that is a really weird error and I have no idea why that would happen if you have used purely digital downloads.

Hi,
It would be easier to help you if you could provide more information when you post. You say there is a "warning message" - but then you don't tell me what does the message say? If it says something about the expansion being newer than the base game then you can ignore that and just proceed with the installation.
If the message you are seeing is something else then please write down the wording and post it here.

sorry about that. the warning is telling me that the sims 3 game is newer than the expanion packs and that if I download the expantion packs it would mess up the game. what do I do
- Anonymous11 years agoOK, that warning is very common and safe to ignore. It just means that your base game is patched, which is a good thing, so the code is "newer" than that of the expansion packs, which were published several years ago. You can just click past the warning and continue to try to install.
