MAJOR GAME PROBLEMS??! PLEASE HELP

Hi. I have recently had some problems with my game. This is what happened. A few weeks ago, i changed my settings so i could have high quality grass with high rendering turned off. It's been working perfectly but last night, sand was showing up as grass. In map view it was fine, but when i zoomed in, it turned into grass. I thought I could change my graphic rules file back and it would all be normal. What i didn't know is i actually left a few of them graphic rule files in some of my ep/sp folder blank. Unknowingly i launched my game to check if the sand looked like sand. I made a new household, but when i was about to move them in, i noticed the world was black except for a few places. Then  i looked in my options in game and everything was set to "off". Then i fixed my graphic rules folder and loaded my household that i've been playing for a while and love. The sand was back regular. But, all of their ages messed up, their friends were deleted and the lunar cycle thing was messed up. I tried to change the lunar cyle to only one cyle so i wouldn't have to deal with full moon like i always do. When i clicked accept, nothing changed. I really do not want to unistall my game because i love my households. Also, if this helps i have over 1,000 custom content, and about 8-12 mods, but my computer can handle it. Thanks and PLEASE help me I have been crying about this issue. 😕mileysad:

  • I would reinstall supernatural or leave it until you get your new computer.

Clean install meaning starting from stratch. Save all your saved games, Save your sims that you may have in cas that are your own (saved sims file), DC Cashe folder, downloads and mods if you have them. Delete the whole game manually and then to a complete clean install. This will also regenerate a new launcher. The  way to generate a new launcher is to do a clean install. The launcher is in the base game. Once the base game is entered on a clean install you patch the base game to 1.67 than add all your ep's. When you do a clean install test the base game after patching first to make sure your launcher is ok before adding EP's. Then you can test each EP one at a time to make sure each one goes in ok. Than you can start added back your saves, downloads, mods etc. This way you can test your CC or  mods to see if they are causing issue as you add them back.

This would be the link how to manually uninstall the game

You can try just uninstalling the base game first before doing a clean install but you will still need to move all your DC Cashe, Downloads saves etc. I dont know if it will fix your problem with supernatural or not but you can try before having to do a whole uninstall. For me I would just do the whole install because if just uninstalling and reinstalling the base game does not fix the issue you have to go back in your registry all over again to delete all those files. That is up to you though

Your very welcome and Just take what files you want to save, saves, saved sims, DC Cashe and Downloads, Send them all to your desktop or regualr downloads and put them back in after you clean install. Test the base game out first by just going into sunset valley making sure its running, your launcher is fine. Dont save, just test it and exit. Dont add your files back until your done testing the base game and all your Ep's. Your saves wont work until you add all Ep's back that are on that save. After you do the clean install start a new clean thread if you have issues and need help getting your saves etc back in the game. Just close out this thread and accept a solution from one of Crin's posts and start over with your clean install since hopefully you wont have same issues you have in this thread.
