Many problems with Late Night

Sounds like your Sims are all busy doing something else.

There's a few reasons (bugs) for this:

- They are all stuck in one spot where they can't get away from

- They all gather at one lot cause one of the stars was there and now they won't go home.

To solve, try resetting them all with resetsim * (type that in the cheat console)

It might not solve the second issue cause they all flock back to that lot but I don't have a solution to that other than using a mod.

unfortunately all that solved was number four. Thanks because my sims had completely disappeared which makes for a boring game. After i got them back for a while the game crashed which is happening every now and then.

I don't really want to get mods, i'm not computer savy and I don't think I should have to download stuff to make the game work in the first place. I bought this game last Christmas and have never got it to run smoothly for a week real time, even on my brand new laptop.

   I no it is a problem that loads of people are getting I just don't really know how people fixed it??

Skim around the community lots to find a lot that has lots of people to see if that is really the case.

   Everywhere is just empty, even the park. Mixologists run to and from bars but only stay literally for 5 seconds. There is the odd "normal" sim in the street but they don't go into any community lots. The only sim who came into a bar was the paparrazi because my sim is a celeb. I can't find a mass of people anywhere but they can't all be stuck because the mixologists are running about.

   The maid's car thing arrives to the flat, just not the maid.

   While looking about the game crashed for the second time in the space of half an hour.

   I really want to buy the new expansion pack but there is no way I'm doing that until this is fixed.

scrap that- I went across the water and found about 15 sims standing doing nothing at Beuna Vista resort, is this the sorta thing I'm looking for?

reset theam all again and check if they are flocking back to that lot. If so, yes.

It it is, I would try to save the lot to the library, bulldoze it and replace it with a new copy

yes to the first part so I bulldozed the lot and replaced it but the sims still keep coming. It's like the whole town is there. I set the lot type to no visitors allowed but that hasn't worked.

I also tried removing the building and then also buldoesing the lot in general. The space is no longer a lot but the sims keep coming.

Ok I changed the lot to residential and now the taxis are driving up to it and turning around. so far so good. I'll give it a while but I think this one could be solved,
