Missing Object Warning

I'm having a panic attack because my sim has finally reached her LTW (Vocal Legend) and now when I try to load the game there's an error on the screen saying ''Missing Object Warning: Some objects could not be loaded and were replaced''. What happened?? I didn't do anything! I'm playing on Starlight Shores and the entire town is like a ghost town! All of the sims are gone! There's no one living there! All the houses are empty! I tried loading another saved game, in Riverview, and everything is ok, it loaded without any problems. How can I fix this?

I've posted a video on youtube so that you can see the error.

  • So I solved this issue. On my saves folder on the sims 3 documents, was a folder with the exact same name as the game I was playing but ending in .backup I copied the files on that folder and replaced them with the ones on the other folder. I was able to load the game normally, the sims on my town were all back, my family was back and that message was gone.

I just have to say thank you for posting this, if I hadn't stumbled upon your post I would have lost one of my favorite families. =)

I am running 6 expansion packs and the Origin launcher warned me that I should not be running so many expansion packs at once.  I ignored the message because I haven't had any problems  recently ( I uninstalled Windows 10 because it wasn't loading my game even in backwards compatibility mode.)  When my game finally loaded, there was the same error message, "Missing Object Warning: Some of your objects couldn't be loaded and were replaced."  I don't want to have any items replaced... what's going on?  I have been playing with all my expansion packs active for months with no problems. ???  I want my stuff back!  Help me please!  (I don't have a Sims 3 Documents file, or I can't find it.)

if your up to date with patch 1.69 in your launcher go to the expansion/stuff manager make sure all your packs are ticked in (not install) just ticked in

    see image for a example

I just figured out that I should check the Expansions and Stuff on my launcher and came here to post that I was checking to see if that fixed the problem.  I don't know how all of the expansions got deselected, but it should be working now.  So thank you for the reply, hopefully that will fix my game right up!

I'm currently running my sims 3 game on windows 10 and it's working fine. I wonder why it's not working for you?
