Is the email on your older EA account now showing as a disabled email?

I'm not sure but that's what I have been told by EA support, and the origin portal states my credentials are incorrect or expired, but the email is recognised when I attempt the 'forgotten password' route -- but then no email is received in my inbox (not the emails fault as I have sent emails to myself externally) -- plus EA login forgotten password avenue does not recognise the email at all.
