My game is crashing no matter what -- FRUSTRATED...

 I need your memory card brand and specs... but 4GB memory is too low. . How hot does your computer get? how often do you save?  How many expansion packs and stuff packs do you have?  I have 8GB memory, and the game uses easily up to 4GB at all time even at low settings . You only have 4GB,  it does not  leave enough for your computer itself.  If you had a PC I could help you with some tips. But if it helps, look if you have a fan control application, turn it off. It makes your laptop  overheat even more by adjusting your computer performance and overheating causes your game to freeze. I have a mac and a pc. But I only play sims 3 on pc. 

sorry, I understand how frustrating sims 3 is. I bought a gaming laptop in order to play it and keep my sanity 🙂

PS: I know you meet the minimum requirements but meeting merely the minimum requirements will make it  very likely your game will acting up. But the type of graphic card you have is an information you left out, and is something very important to know.
