My Sim won't go to work

I've been playing The Sims 3 for a while now and I have sims living in Bridgeport (I believe this city comes with the Late Night expansion pack).

One of my Sims recently became an actress and that's where it went wrong: whenever she needs to go to work, I tell her to do so, but she won't. The order will just disappear. I tried clicking on the carpool car, the building where she works and the button in the menu on the bottom right. No response to any of that. Her mood gets worse because she's not at work and her performance meter is also going down.

Does someone have a similar problem and knows how to fix this? - Please help!
