My sims won't sleep

I have been experiencing similar problems with my sims not sleeping like other players. Mine are a bit different from those I have seen reading about though.

it started out with one of my sims not sleeping in her bed-she will sleep in only one bed in the house.

then another of my sims started not sleeping in his bed. he also will only sleep in one bed (which is ironically the same bed my other sim will only sleep in).

the difference between them is that when I try to make her sleep in her own bed, the action goes away, when I try to make him sleep in his bed, he has a little bubble come up over his head saying he can't walk there (the little footsteps in the thought bubble).

I also tried to make him sleep in her bed by himself, but like with her-the action goes away. my other sims are just fine though (hopefully they won't ketch the non-sleeping disease too)

Do I need to get rid of her bed??

What about his? his wife sleeps in it just fine?
