Need help! Deleted download file in Electronic Arts folder

Can someone  please help me with my problem. I bought my Sims 3 on STEAM and downloaded it onto E: Drive. Then I started downloading custom content from the Sims 3 Exchange. Everything was fine, then...

I have also changed the location of the My documents folder

When the game is finished downloading, do I keep the Downloads file on the Desktop or do I put it back into Electronic Arts?

If you want to use those downloads, put them back in the user folder in documents.

    Lol, the game has been crashing all day, very annoying. Do you think it's the custom content that makes it crash?
