@ladycaress05 I'm guessing your MacBook Air runs Catalina? If so, that's the issue: the current version of Sims 3 is 32-bit, and Catalina is 64-bit only. (This would also apply if you're running a Big Sur beta.) However, there's a new 64-bit version of Sims 3 coming; it'll be released on Wednesday October 28th, as in, two days from now. Please note that, as mentioned in the FAQ in the second linked post, the minimum requirements for the new version include an Intel Iris Graphics 640, which is likely faster than the graphics chip in your laptop. That doesn't necessarily mean you won't be able to play at all, just that you shouldn't expect great performance. Whether the game runs on lower-specced computers, and how well, remains to be seen.
