New issues after EA app update 2023.02.23 with launcher again

Framed puff flower is showing installed. Forest bedroom not showing as installed or downloaded, the file folder states otherwise. I am able to add create a pattern to the launcher and download and uploading to game. Still cannot open other launcher stuff and packs add My photo from 2015 Zazaa the hummingbird with ms paint. Note: opened a new sims3 folder vanilla game and lost basic stuff from just a plain game. Normal check launcher boxes of installed games no store downloads or pattern.

Normally the dc cache has dcc.ent  or dcdb0.dbc or dcdb3ebc,tmp  new folder states (missingdeps.idx) what is up with the sims 3 was solved 2015

@diopter77  You said you tried a new Sims 3 user folder, but did you move your old Store downloads to the new folder?  It looks like you did from their modified dates, but maybe your screenshots are older.

The point is, you need to start with a clean Sims 3 user folder and download all your Store content from scratch.  You can move the custom content items to the new folder from the old one, but anything from the Store itself needs to be freshly downloaded in order to work.

To make this as clear as possible the first photo are from last night and today after the update with the ea app. 

1.dates are from December of 2022 when finally the launcher was working to download all the stuff and lots. My game was working fine. Had an issues with the missing .dll from and earlier update.2023.02.23 update knockout my launcher stuff( all ready downloaded). As you can see the pattern are still in that launcher. No hair or clothing no packs, lunar lake is installed shows up in old sims folder. The boxes will not download it. if you try and download it states (update your game and try again.) On the old sims folder. Which was renamed so that launcher is gone. 

   2. Vanilla game was (is) fresh nothing was downloaded see attachment. Not even the check expansion will stay.  New cleaned fresh spawned files. Sparkling clear clean. dc cache is new error missingdeps.idx  was fixed in 2015. Yet it founded it way into my new dc cache folder.

This is stressful asking question on this board. My game is having issues. Granted you have not experienced these issues. 

To work at finding a solution. No reason the new clean fresh" the sims 3 files folder should have this issue. For months now issues with the ea app or launcher and the store. 

@diopter77  When the launcher won't remember your choices for checking off expansions and stuff packs, the most common cause is corrupt data in Internet Explorer's cache, or now Edge's IE mode data.  So try clearing that, as described at the end of this article.

Two other possibilities come to mind.  One is that you're using a cleaner app that removes temp files, which would include the IE mode data.  The other is you have an antivirus blocking Sims 3, or the EA App, or some other connection to EA servers.  If you use either of these, try disabling it and see whether the problem still happens.

Checked on everything and nothing has changed as far as i can see. Windows had an update as well as the ea app.

Believe 2023.02.16 update removed the.dll. Steps taken was to stop application updates shut that down Found a .dll file from Microsoft worked great.(nraas mod caught the error.)

Next the update 2023.02.23 &.24 knockout the launcher which was working to add the create a pattern, would not redownload the already expansions and stuff but if you hover over some would finish downloading.

 For some reason the missingdeps.idx now shows up in the dc cache which was fixed 2015. Maybe others can confirm this to by looking in the dc cache files. Removed programs of both ea an sims3 and still ended up with the missingdeps.idx 

Added back all the store contents 2 hours later. Kept saying don't own this stuff, pack Lunar lake Hidden spring and Gold roaring height, were bought from the store as well as origin combo pack with hidden springs, monte vista which downloaded fine. Also notice a lot of flash in the store as well as the ea app is set to run as administrator that appeared around the 2023.02.16 update.

Starting a new test game now that everything is downloaded. Will report back if the dc cache adds the missingdeps.idx.

Still issues with the launcher. Mods are on the desk top. old sims file is on the desk top.  Still adding the (idx)

@diopter77  I get the missingdeps.idx file too, and it's never affected my store content.  So I wouldn't worry about it.

What about this that I mentioned before?

Please also let me know whether the Store items turn into boxes right away, or only after you've played once, or only after you've installed a lot of Store content.

No temp washer or scrubbers or cleaners of temp files. Either with the Edge IE mode off or on still no difference.  Ea is placing cookies it should be working.

As for unpacking of the launcher boxes hidden springs will not add image an or the one pattern box. Gold roaring heights is not showing up as a world on the launcher download. Shows as Installed roaring heights under objects? 

@diopter77  Please create a new admin Windows account on this computer and try installing the store content there.  Make it a local account, as in, don't sign into Microsoft, and don't sync with any other services you normally use.  Just open the Sims 3 launcher and see what happens.

I realize this isn't necessarily a good solution, but it is definitely a useful test.
