I have recently bought Sims 3 from a local retailer. I have tried contacting support 2 times but they only told me that it is impossible for them to grant me the mac version since I bought the Windows version. I thought that EA gives out the 64 bit versions to those who have bought Sims 3. I'm so confused right now, I don't want to buy Sims 3 again
I contacted EA help again, and they granted me the Mac version this time. Thanks for your answer
sorpiu You're correct, EA support is supposed to grant the 64-bit entitlements when the player already has the 32-bit entitlements for that content. But you'll just have to try asking support again, unfortunately. It might help to link them this master thread, with many replies from EA community managers:

FYI, The retailer told me that it works in macbooks too. I have found out that it was only available for Windows when I redeemed the code. Is there really no way for me to play this game- or for some advisor to switch it to the 64 bit version? I don't think it's that much of a deal since I already own the game but I don't know how things work there.
