No class schedule

can someone help me? My sims have no progress bar, no schedule, no indication that they are in university at all. I dont have the store fixes.

You know, you are right ! Didn't even think of that. In my case, my Sim is a Genius, a world renown surgeon, 5 star celeb & she took the aptitude test & got a full scholarship. I play the game with mods & one of the mods I use is Travelers mod.
So my Sim gets to University on a Sunday & I noticed on Monday the icon in the game panel didn't change from Employed to School type icon.
So I thought it was strange, & wracked my brain to figure out what was happening.
I finally came to the conclusion that it must be travelers mod.
So I took that mod out & she got a message in the panel after that. It said she had already taken all the classes for the term & for her to please enroll again when she went home.
I didn't get the message before I took the mod out. So there was that change, but I thought it was strange that she didn't have to take any classes.
I thought that had something to do with the mod in the game too.
But now since you've mentioned what you did in your post, she had 18 credits before she started from the scholarship. So THAT was the reason she didn't have to take anymore classes ! & not the mod.

To all those still having problems not getting schedules & what not.
First let me say sorry you are having problems.
But I've learned with this game sometimes you got to fight to play, I realize it may sound corny, but it is what it is.
That said, I've noticed that the game at times needs to reset itself if you will, so If I were to advise you, I would say this.
Do all you've been told to do
Shut down the game,
take the mods folder out,
delete all your caches, according to this:

In addition to those caches listed to delete, delete also Sims3Launcherfilelog & socialcache.package.
Then also open up the DCBackup folder, select all & delete all of that.

reboot your system
make a test game to see if you can go to University with the test sim & see if THAT sim can get their schedule.
If that works great.
Go back to the sim you were playing before & try it with them.
Hopefully it will work then. Don't see any reason why it shouldn't.
But if it doesn't you might have to uninstall & re-install the game.
But lets hope it doesn't get that far, because that is almost like the last step.

I got my classes to appear after I deleted the following mods/fixes in my mod folder.

ContentPatch.package
KT_StoreFix_DecrapFixes.package
KT_StoreFix_UnAwesome.package
StoreFix1.package
StoreFix2.package
StoreFix3.package

All were third party fixes for store content. I removed them and my sims had classes when they went to university.

I first tested it with a different family and sent my female sim to college, and she had classes for her Communications major.

Then I went to my other world with my 2 sims who didn't have classes, I dropped them both out and re-enrolled them and they finally had classes.

Not sure if anyone else has these mods in their game, so I thought I'd share what I removed and got my sims to have classes in university.

I believe it was stated somewhere earlier in this thread that if you attempt to load up a household that was saved:

1. At Uni
2. When Store Fixes/incompatible Nraas mods were installed

Chances are, you will not be able to have that household participate in University until some serious patching is done on either the modders' or EA's end.


Also, I'm thinking that until a patch is made, this topic should be stickied. If only because this is a problem that's affecting a large amount of the community.

I finally had a semester I did not get a class schedule but if you go to the student union and click on the 'registration' desk on the first floor on the right side you will get your schedule.

If anyone is using any of my mods the issue has been fixed, re download the KT_StoreFix_UnAwesome fix, I missed something while updating for 1.50.

ok those are not twallans mods. I should have specified, I was referring to twallans mod traveler. Forgot there are other makers of the mods too.
