no connection to my ea task manager

Question

Im trying to install the seasons expansion to my computer and it says that i need to update the sims 3 and when i go to my task manager it says that my game is up to date but i go to click on refresh and it says that it is unable to connect to the ea task manager it wont let me download the seasons expansion until i update the sims 3 and it wont let me help!!!! please

Im having the same problem although Im not trying to install any expansions.. It wont connect to the ea manager.. &nbsp;I tried to do the patch manuely but it gets to the end and says invalid file or something like that.. so I can update or connect.. I sure hope we get a answer here soon.&nbsp;
