I can't seem to figure out how to get shadows to show up in game. Im currently using a MacBook Air M1 and im running the game on Parallels the virtual machine with windows 11. However I can't seem to get the game to load when editing the graphics card and rules with the appropriate changes to add shadows in game (I used another thread as guidance but no luck). So does anybody know how to make the recognise the VM's graphics card? thank you ☹️
my device config:
@woejd I've merged your post with a longer thread for this issue. You can see how others were able to get their graphics card found and matched and shadows working again earlier in the thread. You can use post 7 as a guide:
But instead of what's written in this section:
vendor "Parallels" 0x344c5250
card 0x3030 "Parallels Display Adapter"
card 0x353030 "Parallels Display Adapter (WDDM)"
end
You'd put this, based on your deviceconfig:
vendor "Parallels" 0x5404c42
card 0x0000 "Parallels Display Adapter (WDDM)"
end

@woejd The graphicsrules edits provided in post 7 should be fine.

@woejd did this work for you? I have the same deviceconfig as you, trying to follow the steps here faithfully but it just makes my game stop launching lol.

@tjamie97 Please take a screenshot, using cmd-shift-4, of each edit you've made to graphicscards.sgr or graphicsrules.sgr. It's possible there's a bit of punctuation missing or the wrong kind of quote, and it can be difficult to recognize that yourself if you're not used to working with these files.
