I'm not sure, but you are the second person to report this phenomenom today. I am currently looking into it, as this new finding is very interesting.

The other person who reported the sporadic resolution of the no sound bug had no CC at all, including music. I contacted her again to ask if she had replaced any of the affected objects such as the karaoke machine, and she said no. She has just been playing a household already living in Starlight Shores. At the moment, there is no apparent reason as to why the sound is suddenly working properly.
