Same here and I always get this issue with new releases.
Why won't anyone address this issue???
I bought a membership just for this so I'm really disappointed. ☹️
Same, I guess i'll go play a game off of Steam; Since that service works as intended.
@Duh2009 @beashaay and @Purger_Of_Souls Unless something has changed in the past few days, EA Play has only ever included the Sims 3 starter pack: the base game, the Late Night expansion, and the High-End Loft stuff pack. So it's possible that this is a glitch in the system, and that the other packs aren't supposed to be available.
However, it's also possible that they are available but not showing the proper Add to Library button. Please open Origin, search for a pack you want, and click Buy Now. With content not available through EA Play, this would bring up the billing info screen. However, for me, it brought up a message that the pack was included in EA Play and did I want to add it to my library.
It would be helpful if someone tried this and reported whether the pack did in fact install.
It just might have! This is how my origin store looks:
I tried clicking buy now and it brought up the billing info screen. It would be fine if the games had never been available through EA play, but I specifically bought this subscription in order to play Sims 3 with some extra content, since it said that they were included with the description.
Same issue here. Bit annoying really, considering I literally only bought Play to...well. Play those expansions.
I would put this in an EA live support chat, but for some reason that option isn't showing up.
I just subscribed to EA Play, and am trying to add the Sims3 and all its expansions to my library. However, after adding the Sims 3 starter pack, nothing else is able to be added. In the store, all the expansions are priced as normal with no clear option to add to library. When I scroll down an expansion's store page to the "related items" section to see other expansions, I can hover over one of them for an "add to library" option, but when clicked Origin loads for a second and then says that The Sims 3 Starter Pack was added to my library instead. The same occurs for all expansions/packs.
When in my library and looking at the details of the Sims 3, I can go to the expansions tab but only the owned expansions show up, with no option of adding others. When the Sims 3 in right clicked in my library, there's an option to "upgrade edition" which causes Origin to spin for a moment and then say that the Sims 3 Starter Pack has been added to my account, but nothing changes, the Sims 3 is still in my library unchanged, and the option to "upgrade edition" is still there when right clicked.
So now, the Sims 3 on my account is The Sims 3 Starter pack, as well as two expansions that I had redeemed from old physical copies I had.
I have tried restarting Origin, logging out and back in, installing, uninstalling, and reinstalling the Sims 3, and adding expansions to my library through Origin's website and in the Origin application.
@toniemx Can you please try adding a pack as described in my earlier post?

The expansion page is the same as other non-EA Play games, only there's the 'available on EA Play' text above the purchase button. I clicked on it and it just loaded up the choose a payment method box. I've put screenshots of it below, and the other packs that say they're on EA Play. At this point I think it was a clerical error or something (as there are two packs on Play, so I guess a missclick somewhere applied the EA Play thing to all the others?)
