Origin overlay (Shift+f1) not working in game

This doesn't appear to be game related issue. I have this problem with Crysis 3 and Mass Effect 3. Origin thing pops up in right corner but I can't bring up with key combo, no matter what.

I'm having the same issue with every game I have. Also, I can no longer use the Alt+Tab option. Dead Space 3, Sims 3, Etc. 

When I start up a game and try to go in-store or access friends, it prompts me to enable in-game origins. Which is already enabled. Keep in mind that the overlay has worked before. Now it just doesn't as of today.

I've tried re-installing, updating, adding firewall exceptions, rebooting, checked the settings on origin for the in-game origin, and done everything in administrator. So, I'm at a loss. 

You ever get an answer from EA on this ?  I'm running Windows 8 64, and have the same problem since updating Origin and getting a new laptop with Win 8

hi i have found the solution and it is kind of tricky when i installed origin for the first time and fifa world the game that is fifa world was not using my gpu that is nvidia gt630m for running the game and intel r hd graphics were being used so i went to the nvidia control panel and i changed settings to make fifa world run with my gpu that is nvidia gt630m i recently got an update from nvidia so i updated my driver and my settings were changed again which led to fifa world being run on intel r hd graphics and as soon as i ran the game after the update not knowing the settings had changed the game started showing in game origin menu and the overlay started working but now the problem is when im making the game run on my gpu the origin overlay is not working and i cant play this game on intel graphics as intel graphics will not give me good performance and the game will lag on the settings i need so please if you could fix this issue,this issue is faced by many other people im sending u a link of a forum regarding the people who are having the same problem and please notice that most of these users are using nvidia gt500 or 600m series gpu http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2964043 so please look into this matter as i was planning to purchase fifa 15 but now im thinking of not doing that as ur program has a bug so please fix this issue
