Origin thinks The Sims 3 base game is installed but the file is not on my computer

Origin only has the option to uninstall the base game but I can't uninstall because it's not on my computer. Because it thinks it's already installed, I can't install it! I'm so frustrated! Please help.... 😕mileymad:

  • I've figured it out myself.

For other people who have this issue:

    1. Go to Computer > Local Disk (C: ) > Program Files (x86) > Origin Games

    2. Delete the folder of the game/EP you need to install

    3. Return to your game library (it will still be there) and right-click the game/EP then select download or follow the same steps you would if you were to play it. The orange button show say Download.

    4. Download and install. 😕mileyvery-happy:

  • I've already tried re-installing Origin as well as restarting my computer. I also uninstalled one of my EPs to try to see if it would realize TS3 wasn't installed.

I was having this issue with sims 4! I wanted to reinstall it because I was having so many glitchy issues with it, and so I hit install then left it alone, only to come back and realize it wasn't really installed! I tried to repair files since that was one of the few options. But I deleted the file as you said, and now it's finally downloading! agh thank you! 😕mileyhappy:😕mileyhappy:😕mileyhappy:

    update:

I've downloaded the game (finally) but now, it's not letting me install ☹️ I've been told to repair game but it pauses repair and it isn't letting me resume!
