Origin/Sims 3 not working with Mac OS Catalina
I've had the Sims 3 downloaded on my Mac for years now, but yesterday I went to play it and it had a 'no entry' sign over the game icon on my applications folder, then when I tried to open it it said...
@bridiewilkinson1 and @hhhtrend The current version of Sims 3 doesn't work at all in Catalina. The game is 32-bit, and Catalina is 64-bit only. That's why you're getting the error message. There's no way around this issue.
But EA has announced a 64-bit-compatible version of Sims 3, to be released some time in early 2020. Here's the full announcement:
In the interim, your only option is to play in another operating system, either on a different computer, or by installing another OS on your Mac.
