www.thesims3.com not registering my game

I've bought the sims 3 and some expansions (generations, ambitions, seasons, late night) from steam, and afterwards, I linked my steam account to EA App and downloaded The Sims 3 there as well. However, I wanted some custom content from The Sims Exchange to place a seasons lot(as I'm having issues doing it on my own) on the neighborhood I'm playing, but the sims 3 site won't register my game no matter what.

 - I've tried inputting any key, either the one that shows up on properties for The Sims 3 on EA App, or the expansion keys on steam to no avail...

 - I read somewhere online that it takes some hours for the site to update, but I've been attempting this for 2 days now... Even the EA attendant checked that my game was registered, and assumed that it must be an issue with the site.

 - Yes, I've tried multiple browsers( Mozilla, Chrome, Edge), just like an assistant recommended, but how would this help at all?

 - There's also no problem with "Verify integrity of game files" on steam, not that I think it even matters...

Contacting the Ea support, the first assistant blamed all the fault on steam, that I have to contact them lol and completely dismissed me, while the second and third assistants guided me on possible solutions, but of course they didn't do anything and simply told me they were gonna report it as a bug( as if) and redirected me here -_-

I'm going to be honest, I've already lost any hope as it's been too much effort with not a trace of a solution, but I'm posting here as a last resort, maybe someone has a solution to this problem and could help me out or even future people with this problem.

Idk what happened but after a month I was granted access to the exchange somehow! I had like 10 messages out of nowhere of a guy called SimGuruMonkey saying  I now had access ( I sent a screenshot). Hopefully it helps any other people having the same issue.

  • y6pod2vg6jbo  Please make sure you're entering the code correctly, not substituting a one for an i or a zero for an o, that kind of thing.  If that's not the issue, do you see your new purchases registered in the EA App?  Please check and let me know.

I've seen a number of cases of this issue in the past year or so, and I'm wondering if the problem is the linking of the Steam and EA accounts, like the codes get consumed when that happens and can't be added to the Store site.  I don't have proof, but that would explain the issue.

At any rate, if you're entering the codes correctly but they don't work, and you can't access any Store content, you'll need to contact EA customer support for help.  Take a screenshot of your Steam game library with the base game product code showing, as proof of purchase; you can upload this when you submit the help request.

I would strongly suggest using the live chat option rather than email.  If you don't see it, try this link:

    https://help.ea.com/en/help-contact-us/?product=the-sims-3&topic=missing-game&category=manage-my-account&subcategory=find-missing-game

Make sure you're signed into an EA site (this one is fine) before clicking the link and that the location in the lower-right corner of the browser window is set to U.S. or U.K.

Alternately, try using the help site without being signed in.  Some categories of issue allow you to proceed without an active login, and many of those offer the live chat option.

  • I literally commented I came from EA support and they said they couldn't do anything ( Multiple times)  and even redirected me here did you even read the last half of the post???? I've sent every proof of owning the game when I contacted live chat, and they even confirmed it: Receipts, Key code and client screenshots, yet they tiptoed around the problem and didn't offer any assistance I required.

And no, I didn't put my code wrong, either must they be capital or not or similiar letters, it won't work no matter what. I'm pretty sure the issue is completely irrelevant to steam, I've read multiple complaints about this problem already on reddit and on this forums, and a lot of people bought the game from the EA App...

It's just disrespectful how EA is overcharging for a 16 year old game, and yet they can't offer the smallest of support for the people who bought it.

  • y6pod2vg6jbo  I don't know what you're reading on reddit, but this is not a problem with EA App installs by definition because the code your account receives is supposed to be unusable.  The code has already been redeemed by virtue of it being added to the EA account.

You need to contact EA support, that's the only move here.  It's not something that an EA community manager can fix for you—they don't have the tools, as they've said many times on this site—and certainly not something you or another user can fix on your own.  I should have said "again," but still, the point stands.

  • y6pod2vg6jbo  I don't know what happened either, but I'm glad the system finally caught up with your registrations.  SimGuruMonkey is a bot account that notifies users of newly registered content and gifts from other players, among other things.
