After reading the moaning, gnashing of teeth and otherwise bitterness towards EA on this situation, I find myself in the admittedly awkward position of having to point something out: who told us to buy Lion the first week and install it, not knowing if it would work or not? Some glitches are to be expected for "early adopters" which is what we are by installing it during the first week.

The thing is that EA undoubtedly had developer betas of Lion months in advance, so they had plenty of time to either work the problems out or at least warn us about incompatibility. I certainly wouldn't be quite as upset as I am if I were to have been warned about this, but instead, I assume it'll be fine only to find that my game, as well as several other people's, is now incompatible. The glitches that us "early adopters" get should've been fixed or noted well before Lion was actually released, and EA has proved, to me, at least, that they're not competent enough to do so.
Other than that, thanks for the makeshift solution. I probably won't use it, because I get super paranoid whenever I partition drives that I'll screw something up (which is understandable, because the last few times I tried I ended up wiping my entire main drive...) but I'm sure it will be useful to others :)
