Pre-order Vintage Car Code Issue

Sul Sul!

I recently lucked out on a factory-sealed copy of the pre-order bonuses and have a code printed on a card insert to be entered here: https://www.thesims3.com/preorder to unlock a Vintage Car. I took pictures then unsealed the case and tried to enter the code, no luck. The page changes to that classic Oops! error page that the Store has. I contacted EA support to see if there was a workaround way to have the code validated, no dice. The chat agent said it should work on the site, but if not then there was nothing to be done.

The Vintage Car is a blue muscle care and is different from the European one/Montalcino Fandango SE found here: https://store.thesims3.com/setsProductDetails.html?productId=OFB-SIM3%3A22676

That link was listed for free years ago for people who missed out on the collector's edition, but I am wondering if there is a similar link in the Store for the Vintage Car? I am okayish getting it from other sources, but would prefer it officially somehow.

  • Sorry to necro this but I am revisiting this project and discovered your reply.

When trying to use the official preorder page and submitting the code, it gives loads an error page. “Oops! We are not able to process your request.” But it doesn’t say the code is invalid, it is just acting as if the server can’t do it. EA customer support today said the authentication servers for it were decommissioned a long time ago.

Submitting at the links you shared does say invalid however. I think it only works on the pre-order page.

The code insert does say redeem by April 15, 2009 lol, but I was hoping it would still work as some others have.

I am determined to keep at this somehow.

    Hey SimsSeer

Sorry to say, but given the expiration date, if the code can't be redeemed through the links above, as the agent you spoke with last year mentioned, there's nothing more that can be done.
