PROPOSE GOING STEADY OPTION DOESN'T SHOW! PLEASE HELP!!! :(

My Female Sim, in university cant get any male sim to show the "propose going steady" option. she has reached irresistble a number of times, has had the First kiss and Woohoo but still nothing! all the sims have no other partner and so are single, i have looked on other websites and forms but nothing has helped me, she has 2 sims currently in Romantic relationships, but you can still have a boyfriend while having, another sim in Romantic Relationship. she has had a past boyfriend before while in her teen years, but he is now her EX, could he have glitched somehow and effected it? i wouldnt like to have to start a new game. Her lifetime wish is HeartBreaker doesnt look like thats going to work out :L This is really bugging me please, if you have any suggestions please help me out.
