Purchase digital game for Sims 3 generations

i want to digitally purchase the sims3 generations from EA. I have the base game cd but i want to know if i can purchase generations digitally even though i play with cd's. I have all other expansion packs and cd's and this will be my first digital game

Do you have your other games registered on your Origin account?

If so, you'll have no trouble buying and playing the expansion packs digitally.
