purchases not downloading , and unable to connect to origin

I made some purchases on the sims 3 store early this morning and they are still not showing up to be downloaded but card has been charged.  I am also getting an "unable to connect to Origin" on my launcher. I have already deleted origin and re-installed and also used the link to do the super patch but my game is already up to date
