Question regarding pets, the Exchange and CC

Hey guys. I'm so sorry if this isn't the appropriate place to ask this question, I was going to ask it over at the official Sims forum, but I can't create new threads there since I guess I' haven't made enough posts or something like that.

So I want to download horses (horses and unicorns only, specifically) from the Exchange, but I don't want any CC from them. So after I download the file to my Launcher, I run it through Custard (Sims3PackCleaner) and delete everything that says "CAS Part". I know that I haven't deleted the horse itself, because the file still has around the same size of a horse without CC. However, the Launcher now behaves as if the pet were a Sim, so instead of showing up in the Pets category of the Downloads, it shows up in the Sims category. I'm using this horse as an example: Supernova

Is it still valid/safe to install the now CC-less horses as Sims? Are they still going to be considered Pets in the game? Or is there a way around this? I'm attaching some images to help understand.

On Custard, I uncheck all CAS Part items and then save the file.

And then this is what happens. The horse is transferred to the Sims section of the Launcher.

And this happens with every horse that has custom content in it. Just goes to the Sims section. What should I do?

    @uncreativeirene  It should be perfectly fine to install these pets; this seems like a limitation of Custard rather than a problem with the pets themselves.  But I'm not totally sure they'll show up in-game.  And I'd suggest testing in a clean user folder, just to be on the safe side.  Move or rename the current Sims 3 folder, open the launcher to spawn a new one, move the cleaned Sims3Pack to the new folder, install the horse, and see whether it loads in-game.

    If the horse does show up, it will be considered a horse and not a sim.  While it's possible Custard is corrupting some of the pet-related data, there's no way it could remake a pet into a human sim, so either the horse loads as a horse or not at all.
