radeon r7

Hello. I'm not sure if my graphics card can be read by the sims 3, but I'm hoping that if it can someone can tell me the code I would need. I just bought a new computer with an integrated ATI Radeon R7 graphics card. I have managed to get the code from "found 0, matched 0" to "found 1, Matched 0". As far as I can tell, I have the right code for my graphics card.sgi file, and it's the graphics rules that i'm having issues with.  Most of the Q&A's that I have found on sims wikia or mod the sims were for Radeon R7 series cards, and I think that's what's causing the issue. I don't have a 200 series etc, just the basic integrated r7. I have an extremely basic, basic knowledge of computers, so I will put everything I know about my system and graphics card here. If you may be able to help and need more information, please let me know.

  • @naicassil While integrated video chip are getting more powerful IMO they still are not ready for demanding video games like TS3. Basically what you need to do is modify the video detecting code in TS3 to detect the new chip as an old chick with the same parameters. The name Radeon R7 covers several gpu chips depending on the A10 version and I'm not sure exactly which chip you have. what is the version of the A10 cpu? Running dxdiag may (should) tell you. Running a program like GPUZ will tell yo everything you wanted to know about the graphics chip. Then you have to equate this to a chip that is already in the game database. Here is a link to the how to I've used - graphics card

This was the code I used as well. In the code he uses, and the code in the rules file it would be for "radeon r7 200 series". So I have just "radeon r7". In the code for the card.sgr file, he also had "radeon r7 200 series" (as an example) but when I copy and paste from my config file, it still has just radeon r7. The computer itself is an asus. Amd a-10 7800. 12 gb ram. The "device id" for mine was 130f, and that worked fine in the card.sgr file. But the rules file has nothing without a series number, so the best i could think of was just "r7*" but obviously that failed.

If it comes to a worst case I can just go try to find a card that's in one of the examples, I guess I figured I would try to make this one work first and try not to void my warranty in week one. Lol.
