Re: [Current Issue] Sims 3 "serious error" when loading save
I got a new computer and reinstalled the sims 3. I was so excited because i love the sims 3 and i got a new computer which i thought would run the sims better because it had a better graphics card. So when i launch sims 3 it goes to the main menu where i can start a new game (i have no saved games because ..new computer). As soon as I start new game...it goes to the loading screen for like 2 seconds before i get an error that says "A serious error has occurred while loading (world).sims3.
Now I've tried everything. i tried the lazy mod. I tried to get the game to recognize my new graphics card by editing graphicscard.sgr files....it's a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060. I tried repairing game in ea's app. I turned off my firewall and OneDrive. It wont let me rename my sims 3 folder because then i have to download it again in the app.
Please someone help! I have no idea what to do. I love sims 3! It would suck if i couldn't play it ever again.
Here are my computer specs.. just incase someone can figure it out. i have integrated graphics and dedicated graphics. If that makes a difference
