I'm not sure if you got it fix yet or not but I recently had the same problem. I would double click on the icon and it would do nothing. So I right clicked on the icon and went to properties. Go to compatibility and check which program your game is running in compatibility mode. It should be the same program your system is running. Mine some how got switch to Windows XP when I run a Vista. Once I changed it back it works just fine. I hope this helps.
