Hi @wizzkid118,
Try to log into your granddad's account on this website: https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/aboutme/index
If it is still telling you the account is expired, then please, try to reset your password. Don't worry, this won't have any effect in your games.
If after doing this you are still having issues, please, contact one of our advisors through EA Help, they will be able to check what's wrong, and help you with this issue.
