Oh right I just found this.

All Sims 3 expansion packs put simply expand upon the base game functionality and work in unison with one another, so you get the features of all of the expansion packs installed on your machine.

The game must always be started with the disc of the expansion pack that was last to be RELEASED by EA. It has absolutely nothing to do with the order in which you install them.

Don't be surprised or think that the expansion pack isn't working if the loading screen is still that of a previous one that you have installed. This too will always be the loading screen of the last expansion pack to be released by EA. The town, features and items of each and every expansion/stuff pack will still all be present in the game.

But anyway if anyone would like to back this up it would be appreciated and help other new comers that maybe confused as to how the game works in conjunction with expansion and stuff packs.
