Re: My aging randomly stops, even though I haven't disabled aging!

That is a common bug. Does no one age or just your active family ?

Only non-mod solution I have for this issue is this:

If you have any troubles with the age sliders, try moving the main one all the way to short, then all the way to epic and then settle it where you want it (thanks to Trif for that). If that doesn’t help, also try the individual ones.

  • I'll try that, thanks.

But yeah, it's my whole town. No one will age. And sometimes everyone else will age but the babies and toddlers...it's really annoying!!

  • @crinrict I tried what you said...still nada. It's very frustrating. After all these years of making the Sims, can't EA get the aging right? 😕mileyfrustrated:

Only other solution I have involves mods which I can't advertise here.

  • That sucks...I asked EA what was going on and why my aging had stopped, and they told me that:

    "Hello Ashleigh,

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

I have gone through the e-mail and found that you are experiencing problem with the aging of the sims in the game. I am grateful for giving me an opportunity to review your case; I assure you my support in getting this resolved. I know how it feels when you face such issues of the game.

To get this sorted out, please press F5 button within the game to open the in game options. There should be a slider controlling the sims life span. Just put that as low or high as you want.

Please let me know if you have any other concerns. I will be glad to help you out.

Electronic Arts appreciates your efforts and involvement in our Games and take this opportunity to express our gratitude. Please feel free to get in touch with us anytime. You may access our online knowledgebase on: http://help.ea.com/

I look forward for your reply.

    Sincerely,

It was an automated message -_-

    NOT IMPRESSED.

EA needs to get there **bleep** together. This isn't acceptable.

I know this is a bug that happens to many but just to make sure: You didn't by accident turn off aging in the options panel ?

You might be able to find a solution here: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/

  • Lol I know that's a possibility, but it was the first thing I checked. When it stopped working, I went straight to my options panel and checked. But it's ok, because a game update fixed it. (:
