Re: My Page on Sims3.com not working
I know ... ten years later ... but now I'm having this problem. It does this no matter what browser I use (I have Firefox and Microsoft Edge). I got some advice from someone else on this in a Facebook Sims 3 group, but her solution didn't work. Now the same thing is happening on my phone! I can access the Exchange and look at my studio from there, but when I try to look at my messages, my friends or anything else on my page, all I get is a big white screen and a little loading icon in the middle. It never stops loading. I also have this problem if I want to see anyone else's page. I have a pending friend request and can't accept it.
If this is happening on all browsers and on multiple devices, it must mean there's something wrong with the site. I wonder if anyone will see this post and at least let us know if it's a problem with the site, or if something else is the culprit.
@MAWriterGirl It doesn't sound like this problem has anything to do with your install of Sims 3. At the very least, that wouldn't affect trying to access the site on your phone.
If you haven't already, try powercycling your router. That means turning it off and waiting five minutes or so before turning it back on. And I'm not sure exactly what settings you used on your phone, but you'd actually want to try disabling its wifi and using data only. Simply turning off wifi should force it to use data.
With your phone, you can also try using public wifi anywhere you find it, for example Starbucks or a doctor's office. If the only problem is accessing "My Page," you can work around it by using that part of the site when you're in a location with its own wifi network. It's not ideal, but it's easier than your remaining options, which are basically to switch out your home equipment or internet service providers or to try to get the ISP to fix the problem on its end. That's even assuming this is an ISP issue, which is difficult to prove even in the best cases.
