@wastedlizzy It looks like you're trying to install a large number of items at a time. Please just try one and see what happens. Even if all the content is fine overall, the launcher doesn't handle large amounts of data very well.
And again, be sure to test in a new Sims 3 folder, one that doesn't already have any content installed. The first step is to see whether you can install anything at all.
