Check the programs(x86) or programs\Origin_Games if there are any left overs of Supernaturals and delete those, then try again. You might also need to clean the registery: https://help.ea.com/article/manually-uninstalling-the-sims-3

So I tried deleting the copy and downloading it again. But now it starts installing for half a second then immediately stops.

Did you clean the registery ? Do you get an error message or does the process halt ?

There's no error message, it just starts then immediately stops.

Can you please help me sort this? I'm going away soon and I would like this to be sorted before then.

It's hard to help you if you're ignoring questions.
I'm going to ask one more time:
Did you or did you not clean out your registry ?
- pipthegreat13 years agoSeasoned Novice
Yes, I did.

Did you try to turn off Anti Virus and Firewall for the duration of the installation ?
Other than that I don't have more ideas. I'll see that any of the other helpers has one.

Nvermind, I found out what was bugging the installation. Thanks for your help anyway.

Was it the firewall or something else ? Would be go to know if someone else has the same issue.
