Thank you very much. I will try that and come back to update here. I am open to mods. I have some mods but they are mainly CAS clothes, hair and furniture and player-made worlds.

@juliach12  Is only the one sim broken, or all the sims in this save?  Please switch to a new household to test; you don't need to save your progress.  If the new household does work, use "save as" to rename the save, so the original remains intact as a backup.  Then quit to desktop, delete the cache files again, reload the save, and switch back to your main sim.

@juliach12  Since you're willing to try a few mods, please download NRaas ErrorTrap, Overwatch, Register, and MasterController.  You can find descriptions and download links here:

Delete the cache files again, load your save, and let the game clock run for a few sim-minutes.  Cancel any opportunities your sim or sims already have assigned.  Then click on City Hall and select NRaas > MasterController > Town Options > Reset Everything.  This process can take a few minutes, depending on the speed of your computer, and it will tell you when it's done.  Afterwards, let the game clock run for a few more sim-minutes, then use "save as" to rename the save, and quit.  Delete the cache files yet again, reload, and see if opportunities work.

You don't need to wait for the game to grant new opportunities.  Instead, click on one of your sims and select NRaas > MC > Basic > Opportunity: By Category, choose a category, and pick one of the options.  Skip any that say True to the right, which means your sim has already completed them; Repeatable or a blank is fine.

@juliach12  You can create the mods framework yourself, sure.  But you can't just dump the mods inside Mods; they need to go inside Packages.  And you'll still need a resource.cfg.  You can get one here:

@puzzlezaddictThank you very much. I haven’t downloaded the mods yet. However, I opened the game again and for some reason it’s working. Maybe the method with a new save made with a different household worked but somehow later… I don’t know but it’s working now. Thank you so much for your help! If I have the same or a similar problem ever again, I will try the mods you sent. Now the only problem appears to be connected with a lot. Opportunities with Civic Center in Isla Paradiso do not work. The rest works for now.
