I want to install and play my game that is all. Working on installing Sims for over three hours now. Got new code from origin I am now registered twice for same game but still can not install. Need to redeem code but it only has 16 characters where is the 16 character code located. All my codes are 20 character long.
you REDEEM extra content or points or worlds. The 20 characcter code is to install the game and registering the game. If you got the game thru Origin then the game is autmatically registered. The code will probably be asked for during the installation.
The original code is in use so Origin gave a new code. That is registered with TheSims.com but cannot be redeemed via 16 digit input. Installing game Origin with code given says cannot be redeemed here go to TheSims3.com. Ok that is just a big circle jerk. No wonder more people are going xbox. Going to go to Origin site and see if anything looks logical with them. Could not install on Windows xp because it does not go to internet. Should never need the internet or even be connected to install a game.
Went to Origin site nothing logical or intuitive there. About ready to take game back to Target for a refund. It looks like PC games are too much trouble to mess with any more.
Found some information about going to email and finish registering there. That just gave invalid code try again message. Origin say can't redeem here go to TheSims3.com site but you cannot redeem there as they want 16 digit code. I know that both Origin and Sims sites are messed up but who is at fault here.
The Sims site you cannot enter the code in like everyone else in the world without clicking and focusing on each box. Who programmed that anyway.
OK The Sims, Late Night Expansion, and High-end Loft stuff are all three registered at Sims site. When DVD is started Origin comes up to help install. Says can't redeem code here go the theSims3.com site. There we are:
