Yes, of course. I tried all the types of bars and the same issue happens every time.
Is your game updated to 1.67 ?

when you removed the mods did you clear the cache files ?
delete the cache files go to electronic arts/the sims 3/
•CasPartCache.package
•compositorCache.package
•scriptCache.package
•simCompositorCache.package
•socialCache.package.package
it's safe to delete these files as a new ones will regenerate
