sometimes it's the browser that has the problem with downloading espically google chrome and opera switch to IE or firefox or see if crins tyhread here can help http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/09/bug-store-and-custom-content-uninstalls-itself.html

This is happening to me too. I've tried the crint steps and it didn't work, pls help me to fix this.

  I solved this problem by deleting the Riverview file from the launcher, then going to the sims 3 store website and downloading it from there. I hope this works for you!
