Roommates Won't Show Up

Whenever I send 1 or more sims to university instead of giving me enough roommates to fill out all the 8 sims of a household itnonly gives me 2 sims even if I only have 1 active sim. Anyone knows any way how to fix this/why this is happening? I tried saving this family to the library and making a new save with them but it still doesn't fix it. I currently only have 3 active sims so there should be 5 roommates but there's only 2 that only show up on the relationship pannel but can't be seen anywhere in the world, I haven't edited the lot at all it's the default university life dorms, it has room for them all. I tried repairig the game from Origin, I was told to delete the CASPartCache.package compositorCache.package scriptCache.package simCompositorCache.package, i unninstalled and reinstalled University Life and it still didn't work. The option to call in more roomates or to get rid of them is also not showing up on my sims' computer or phones. Anyone knows how to help??
