Rooms Full of Objects Disappear -- All at once!

So, my Sims were chillin' in their snazzy new home I made for them, waiting out the zombie apocalypse so they could go play in the snow, when all of a sudden, all the objects in my kitchen and living room were gone. One of my Sims and her cat were ported outside,the other two were just shifted to a different room. This is the third time this has happened. The first time, it was just a fridge, stove and a table, my Sims weren't around, so they didn't get ported and I wasn't really sure what had happened, but I figured it was a one time thing and went about my business. The second time, it was the kitchen and the living room and this last time, it even removed some of the bathroom.

I experienced no lag before hand or after. It happened so quickly that it startled me when the radio stopped playing. I don't use any CC, at all. I have some items from the store, but I haven't bought any recently or had any problems with them before. The game is fully updated to the latest patch. I cheat a little bit here and there, but it's usually only to boost my Sim's needs or set their career.

It might be worth noting, I had a little bit of a glitch a few days ago where I couldn't place anything in the middle of my kitchen (after it was cleared the second time). It kept telling I couldn't intersect with objects when trying to place my table, even though there was nothing there. I used to have that happen in The Sims 2 occasionally (maybe the original Sims, I'm not entirely sure), but it could be remedied by turning moveObjects on and clicking around until you found the invisible object that was gumming up your progress. After you found it you could delete it and the problem would be fixed, but even that didn't work. When I installed Seasons today and started playing I was pleasantly surprised to see that the issue had resolved itself, I only mention it thinking it might be a symptom of the disappearance issue.

I'm really confused as to why this is happening, I don't really want to keep replacing my furniture. I'm afraid that if this keeps happening it might clear my whole house!  ☹️
