Run Sims 3 without Origin

After having the 'cannot play sims 3 offline' issue i contacted EA
They suggested I Go Offline in Origin
This didn't work
They then suggested I uninstall Origin
This didn't work
They then said that Origin is now tied to the Sims 3 and logging in to the client is a requirement to play the Sims 3 games
They also said to then contact the Sims 3 community for answers
I'm wondering if we can start something that will get the developers of Sims 3 aware that many of their fans don't want to/ cannot be online when playing Sims games for their own reasons - Also, I'd hate for this to happen when the Sims 4 launches so we better hurry up
Are your games download or disc versions?
All my games are disc and if I try playing while offline in Origin, it works perfectly.
And personally, I really don't think a rally would be necessary.

My point to start something is to get the attention of the developers to reverse this as (after scrolling through the forums) I found that many others have this issue also.- see i have the disc and everything it still wont let me play without origin,it annoying
@Jadekeely The only way you can install from disc and play without Origin is if you own disc copies of every pack you want to install, and if your base game disc was manufactured before September 2012. The later ones will force you to install Origin first and allow it to manage your TS3 install; there's no way around this requirement.
To find out which version your base game disc is, you can check the copyright date on the back, in the fine print. The version that requires Origin will also have an Origin logo on it, as well as a banner across the top that says "go social" or something like that.
My games are all disc and I am having this problem. It keeps telling me that I need to activate my games to play, but I have already done this, I have played the game plenty before with no problem, this just popped up out of the blue. I have been to many forums and tried suggestions, but nothing seems to be working. Its very frusterateing to have paid so much for these games and suddenly not be able to play them.

With the new Origin your better off with download version instead. Origin is having issues with Disc. You would manually have to uninstall your disc verisons and relpace them with download versions. Are you on Mac or PC?
- All of mine were disc and I'm having the same issue... Looks like everything is fine but then I get and error message saying " unfortunately some 3 has stopped working" before it has even started... Help please. Do I need Windows to run it because I had it on a previous dinosaur of a Dell laptop with no internet and no windows and Sims were perfect.
