Serial codes in confirmation email?

I keep reading this on the TS3 Forum, but it doesn't seem quite right. Simmers query and are informed that their serial code comes in their original confirmation email. Mine never have. 

I have ordered expansions from Origin before, but they never send the serial code in my original pre order confirmation email. I assume that comes when the expansion is actually ready for download.

Is this correct? 😕mileyhappy:

    Hello debbidoosim.

    When you purchase and download a game from Origin, It is already activated for you, you will not need to type in your serial numbers.

    Your only provided with your invoice in your email.

    So when your pre order becomes avliable to download, just download it and there will be no need to enter your serial numbers 🙂

    Since I don't use Origin at all and stick with disc version, the following info might not be accurate

    I don't think they would send out keys with your pre-order confirmation. Since you could always cancel an order, you would have a key for something you never paid for.

    So I agree with your statement, it will come with the mail when your download is actually ready.

    For Sims games you also need to register the game at the Sims 3 site to get the goodies, correct ?

    So I think they should get a serial code.

    But I really wouldn't know 🙂

    Serial keys for the games on Origin can be viewed clicking the "I" found on the relevant game. Not via email

    I preordered but didn't get a confirmation email or anything! It shows that I made a purchase (worth 0$?) on that day (true, my only one was sims) but I never got the email. Please help?
