Server Down

I have been issues with the launcher as well.  It works fine without any expansion packs or store contents.  The moment I add purchased content then the launcher will show up up but no tabs.  It also states the servers are down.  I know there was an issue with the Sims 3 website saying the same thing and am wondering if this is a continued issue and it will take over a month to get this resolved as well.  I have not been able to play this game in over 3 months.  I have cleared caches, cleared and redownloaded, swiped my computer clean and restarted from scratch on my computer and still cannot get it to work.  This is so frustrating.  All of the other Sims games like Sims 4 and the older ones work just fine with no issues but I hate playing those. 

how in the world did you ever get a live agent to fix the issue much less help you?  I never have that luck and they always direct me to this.  Then everything that has been suggested in hear I have already tried and it didn't work.

katfink1​  There's a specific issue with some accounts that EA support can fix.  I don't know all the details, but it sounds like the other player had that issue and was able to find someone to address it.  But that doesn't mean that you have the issue.

If you start with a clean Sims 3 folder (remove or rename the old one in Documents > Electronic Arts), and you enable your expansion and stuff packs but do NOT install any Store or custom content, does the game work properly?  If so, try installing only one Store item and see whether it works.

FairyLogan​ What was the fix for you? As so far these live agents at ea help are not a big help for me. 

friezenfan​  What issue are you currently having?  A few different problems look similar but have distinct workarounds or solutions.

If that doesn't help, let me know; you might have the same issue that support fixed for someone else in this thread, but that's not something that can be figured out from the player side.

You think ea help didn't suggest this? I still have this issue. EA Help isn't being a help as i have said it's an issue on their end. But it's not like they care about us.

friezenfan​  How would I know what EA support suggested?  I don't work for EA and am just trying to help other players on the forum.  And you can't tell from your side that it's an EA issue, I mean it's literally impossible to find that information from the player side.  The fact that you're not the only one affected doesn't mean it's an EA issue—after all, most of us are NOT affected, so the server can't be down overall.
