Sim 3 Supernatural Uninstall & Install Issues

I was having trouble with my new Sim 3 Supernatural Download from Amazon (all the others work)

Decided to uninstall and reinstall it.

I went to windows control panel, uninstall program, went about the usual procedure to uninstall it.

Clicked uninstall.

It did the usual uninstall stuff, showing  a bunch of files that it was uninstalling.

The Sim 3 Supernatural Icon never disappeared from my programs list.

I attempted to reinstall it...however when I do, it asks me if I'm sure that I want to uninstall it.

I say yes and begin to uninstall it again...and the icon stays there, it's not completely uninstalled.

Called EA. They told me to uninstall Sim 3, the base game.

Did that...uninstalled everything...even my other expansion packs...

the icon is still there. The problem still persists.

What do I do? I want my Sims back!
