MissJag93 Do you see anything in Keychain Access with EA or Sims in its name at all? And to be clear, are you trying to sign in again, or does the Connecting message show up even if you don't?
Please create a new admin account on your Mac and try playing there. You'll of course need to sign into the EA App, but don't do so at the launcher or Main Menu; just see whether you can get far enough to start a new save.
