Sims 3 Ambitions activation code

Hey, I just bought the Sims 3 Ambitions today. I went to put in the activation code and it says its already been used. I have never had this expansion pack and I'm not sure on what to do now. I need help.

Did you buy the game used somewhere ? A disc ? A download key ? On Origin ?

Yes, I did buy the game used and there really is no way to return it. I'm just not sure what I should do because I did talk to someone from EA through the chat who tried to help me but all they said was to talk to the people who sold it to me.

There's really no way to re-register a used game. They basically sold you a fancy coaster.

I would talk to them.
